Background and Philosophy Our youth are special, divine creations with purpose and a future that's bright and filled with hope. It's time to tell them that. It's time to put an end to cutting, suicide, drug and alcohol abuse, and murderous intentions similar to the Columbine tragedy of just a few years ago.
How?
By sharing good news! ...By giving them truth, not lies about their past, present, and future. Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free (John 8:31-32 NIV)."
Jesus also said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me (John 14:6-7 NIV)."

Partnerships
The Omega Youth and Family Center is open to a variety of partnerships to make our vision a reality. These include religious, civic, and other organizations. Currently, we work with advisors from the Newington Chamber of Commerce, Lions, Our Saviors Lutheran Church, and the Newington Police Department. Still, in our collaboration, we've been clear that the gospel of Jesus Christ MUST remain a key component to the bi-laws and constitutional structure of Omega. Career, homework, addiction recovery and other pragmatic programs will always be offered on the foundation of the truth of the Bible. Thus grants and other funds will be received with no theological “strings attached.” |
